THINGS TO KNOW

Concierge: Let Conch and Coconut help with all your travel needs! A portion of their proceeds goes to education on Harbour Island.

Marinas: Romora Bay Resort & Marina, Valentines Resort & Marina, and Briland Club.

Water Taxi Service: Located at the Government Dock on Harbour Island and the Three Island Dock on North Eleuthera.

Beach Chair Rentals: Ms. V’s Beach Chair Rentals & Beach Bar ($25 for 2 chairs with an umbrella). Park near the Ocean View Club on Court Street and walk down the beach access path. Lunch + cocktail menu available.

Boating: Visit the swimming pigs + feed the turtles Conch and Coconut (10% off with code L+M)

Currency: The Bahamas accepts USD. Few places accept American Express but most take Visa and Mastercard. Cash is the only form of payment accepted for cab and water taxi services.

Roosters: On Harbour Island you will most likely hear roosters bright and early. If you are a light sleeper we suggest packing a travel sound machine. 

Airport: Arrive at the ELH airport at least an hour and a half before your flight departure time (they always suggest 2 hours). The airport is small with no air conditioning so we recommend traveling in light clothing. There is a shop across the street with souvenirs + refreshments.
